In search of my lost mojo.......!!

I've been feeling a bit low for the last few days, nothing i can put my finger on exactly, but the wife and my day shift man at work have noticed a difference in me.

In an attempt to get back to normal, i payed a visit to Ivy Lake at Chichester, on the way home from work this morning.

The ground was saturated from the over night torrential rain, but fortunately it stopped raining at around 6-45 this morning. I knew the rain had been heavy because i could hear it hammering on the factory roof above the noise of the machines.

I've been very fortunate over the last 12 months to see some fabulous birds while visiting Ivy Lake, and this morning was no different.

I actually caught this little guy asleep, he was standing at the waters edge, head facing backwards and nestling in the feathers on his back, i'd guess the noise of my camera's shutter closing reapeatedly must have woke him up.


Looking at him in his beautiful outfit of multi coloured feathers, i remember why i pick up that camera every time i head for the door.

Hopefully normal service will be resumed here on blipfoto.

At a guess i'd say he's a Ringed Teal, but i stand to be corrected if needs be.......!!
