Brooding Soldier

Last day of holiday was spent mainly in Belgium before heading back to the tunnel and the road home. We visited a few of the cemeteries around Ypres and could have blipped photos from any of them. However this statue on a small road junction commemorating the 2,000 Canadians killed in the first gas attack of the war is so impressive in both scale and simplicity.
