Ugly Garden Spider

The ugly garden spider was out in the middle of her web this morning looking for breakfast I would guess.

Ms Cardinal with the Hair-Do was at the feeder and she never shut up.  Even when she was eating, the noise went on.  I'm thinking that maybe that is why Mr Cardinal was looking so motley!

I have no idea what type of flower this is, but this little guy has appeared in the yard all on it's own.  I planted the canna lilies in the hopes of attracting butterflies.  I had no idea the blooms would attract so many cloudless sulphurs.
