Life from city to village

The Town Hall

Before Leeds became a city, it was a town, with a Town Hall. The building is impressive (although apparently modelled after Bolton Town Hall), and one of these days I intend to go on the tour to have a look through the cellars underneath. It was built between 1853 and 1858, designed by Cuthbert Broderick. Who also designed Bolton Town Hall. Hence the similarity... It looks good on a lovely sunny morning, framed by the trees, which are beginning to yellow.

My jaw is still hurting, and I'm beginning to feel frustrated at how long it is taking to settle.
