Trdelnik!
Trdelnik - a sweet cake, made from pastry, covered with vanilla sugar, almonds and cinnamon. The dough is rolled out and then put on a stick, then put over the fire. The sugar on it bakes and makes caramel and then it's rolled again in the sugar mix. And it's super delicious!
I had one on my first night in Prague. Whilst not traditionally Czech (as marketed by the stalls) it is still an ancient bohemian tradition dating back to Neolithic times. Wherever it originally came from doesn't matter to the tourists who are just after an amazing sweet treat after walking around six a beautiful city all day!
