Why does it start to rain as soon as I go outside to take photos of our few remaining blossoms for Flower Friday?

It's fortunate that I have these sprigs of dried lavender, harvested in better weather, to step into the breach, leaving me time to finish preparations for a visit by a Blipfoto friend from afar, who arrives late this evening.
