Helsinki (day 1)

A walking day.

No choice really. All the city's public transport is on strike. I'd bought a ticket to see an ice hockey game in the evening, not knowing about the strike.

A 45 minute walk each way. It was worth it - a good tight game with IFK (home team) scraping past KalPa by 2:1.

I didn't do as much sightseeing as I'd planned. Partly that was knowing I'd have 2 long walks in the evening. The weather wasn't so good either. Lots of rain in the morning.

The Blip is where the city meets the sea at the eastern part of the harbour.
