The challenge was ramped up today big time. In the morning we drove out to Langdale, looking stunning in the golden early light with misty wisps hanging out round the peaks. We were dressed for ghyll scrambling and, after last night's torrential rain, there was serious water coming down Stickle Ghyll. I chose not to risk my camera so no blip of helping each other cross the torrents or showering under the waterfall but lots of fun and a few scary moments. After lunch it was off to the telegraph pole and High V Ropes. The students had to climb up the pole, stand on the top then leap into space and hit a large ball before being lowered to the ground - there was much success on this activity as with the V Ropes where they had to climb up a pole in pairs then inch out on to wires supporting each other, with the wires gradually widening away from each other! All credit to the youngsters who pushed themselves way out of their comfort zones, especially as I wimped out and took the photos instead! It may not look it on my blip but these folks are seriously high off the ground.
