Beauty is all around us.

A quick blip.

After a very busy, enjoyable day in Accrington, I was wondering what to use for my blip today.
These flowers came to my rescue.
I am pleased to say that the induction for voluntary work at the RSPCA charity shop went very well, and one and a half hours later, after a good informal chat and much form filling, we decided on the hours I could join their team. I also met one or two of the volunteers, who were friendly and happy. It all seems well organised and people have tasks they have decided to do, like tagging items, pricing, being on the till, organising the books. I will be on the till and shop floor, the area I find the most interesting.
After the interview, I went for a wander in Accrington, and then home on the train.
Chatted to my Mum on the phone.
She had cut her long grass, and was feeling pleased with her efforts.
It is hard for Mum now she is 87, but she likes to do her own things and will not wait for our Daniel, my sister's son, to help, and is fiercely independent, bless her.
Daniel is 30 on 24th September, so I am now going to send him a burgundy Cotton Traders shirt. He is a handsome young man and very helpful to my Mum.
He does not read this journal, so it will still be a surprise.
