Library visit to the Borders
It was the turn of the Scottish Borders Library Service to host our regular library meetings and this was an opportunity to visit some of their public libraries - many of which seem to be in old historical buildings, including 7 Carnegie Libraries. This one in Galashiels is one of them, and the interior is beautiful (extra shot). We also visited Selkirk library which is in the old prison (and you can still see the cells) and the small Library in Melrose, which used to be a draper shop.
In the evening we went to the launch of our neighbour's debut novel. I have been to quite a few book launches but I have never been to one which so packed!!
