My new project..
A friend at work uncovered these beauties whilst clearing out her loft. I've kindly offered to run a few films through them, check they're working an' all that (cos that's the kind of guy I am.. :-}), while she decides what to do with them. I might even offer to buy the Yashica from her - it works like a dream. So, I've sent off to 7dayshop.com for 5 rolls of Velvia - only cost a tenner for the lot, dated this month. Trouble is they're £12 a roll to process! I also got an old Gossen light meter for a couple of quid on ebay today to save me risking those 1 quid a shot photos with the sunny 16th rule.
I'm all set and raring to go and join the old skool... trouble is, I don't even know how to load medium format film. The folding bellows camera has an unused roll of Trifca film dated 1974 - I'm dying to use it to see what hardcore Lomography results I get. i don't think i'll run it through the bellows camera thoughbecause the shutter sticks on and off, and the rangefinder doesnt work so focussing would be estimation - that's a bit too much of a hardcore combination even for me. I started to take the copal shutter apart tonight, but I think i'll need special tools to get at it. I somehow managed not to lose the microscopic brass screws and get it back together again. No, I think this is for looking pretty in a collectors cupboard this one!
