Singing his heart out

7pm this evening and the swallows were busy as usual - catching flies, sunbathing and chasing around the cowsheds, twittering at the tops of their voices.
The barn owl was chilling in the barn this evening, maybe it was too hot for hunting - or maybe she has eaten all the vole supply in the usual field! Either way I left her to it as I was tired.
The consultant has told me I am experiencing 'wearing off' ie the medication is becoming less effective, so I am due to start some other stuff delivered by subcutaneous pump. I'll try anything if it helps!
Wet day forecast tomorrow - just as well as I've loads of work to do from home.
