Only in New Zealand!

Today was a big day for Tui! As mentioned in a previous blip Tuatapere was once famous for its sausages. Over the last few weeks ZM radio has been running a competition for a town to get a new 'statue'. (NZ towns like Gore, Cromwell, Taihape etc already have one) Tuatapere won the competition and now we have a sausage statue to display!!!!!!!
Our students have been involved in making some new flavour sausages and some of them were made up today to be eaten by anyone who came to the big event! (I had a very nice chocolate and chilli flavoured sausage) and although that sounds disgusting it was actually quite tasty!
One of our students was on the radio reading the weather - we were very proud of him because he did it at the last minute.
