The Aphid-Focus Stack

My first focus stack but not a great success. Used my new focusing rail and took about 10 shots of the same aphid I took yesterday. Set up in the kitchen with illumination from an Ikea LED lamp. Then imported into Photoshop layers and merged the results. First attempt produced double the number of legs but persevered and got this. This aphid is tiny just a few mm long and luckily didn't move during the few minutes it took to get the stack done.
