Summerlee
(there's a lot of back-blipping going on here!)
On Wednesday afternoon the church Men's Group had an outing to Summerlee Industrial Heritage Museum in Coatbridge. I had been before, several times, but it's one of these places where there is so much to see that every visit brings something new and is a place I enjoy returning to.
Rather than wander round the fascinating museum, which I did on my previous visit, I walked down to the short stretch of the Monkland Canal that forms part of the museum park and to Howes Basin, which was used as a loading and unloading bay between the Canal and the railway in those industrial days.
