"Tree" hugger ??

D is injured and can't run - she's rather upset about that. But we went out for a test ride on the bike and all is well. Nice to be pedalling again, especially with D's company. Even the little hill at the end from St Heliers to Achilles point was no problem for her.
In the extra photos today I have posted a shot of a bit of a disaster we came across along Tamaki Drive, a vehicle amongst the trees on the wrong side of the road. Not really sure what had happened. The police were there, and the unhurt driver was on the pavement. Looking at the mess, I think he was lucky. Our first thoughts were that he had had a blackout of some sort and gone straight ahead where the road curved. But other (unsubstantiated) comments/rumours revolved around the suggestion of texting while driving??
