More readable enlarged.
Last Tuesday I blipped a long shot of the building in Norwich which has writings from Utopia painted in white on the walls.
My thanks to ceridwen for supplying me with this link to a feature about the building on that blip :))
Today I used that car park once more, and decided to blip a close-up of some of the writing, plus links to a few other examples.
Upper window section.
A corner.
Wall section 1).
Wall section 2).
As I stood close and read some sections, It made me wonder just who'd decied what should be written, how many 'writers' did it take to complete it, and how long? It's fascinating .......
Further info: From the link ceridwen kindly supplied apparently it was done in 2006 by local artist Rory Macbeth with help from members of Norwich School of Art and Design. Started on June 26th within just a few days it was half finished! It was due to be demolished the following year but still stands in 2012, so it must have been very well received locally, and hopefully will continue to stand. It contains the entire 100 page Shaw novel!
