Inside the Chateau
We woke up to a bit of a damp morning, but it wasn't as bad as was forecasted and although it was cloudy, it was still very warm.
After breakfast we went for a walk to a big shopping centre just outside the village. It was a nice walk along the estuary and then the golf course.
Back for lunch and then we walked over the road to the Chateau. We decided against the guided tour and just visited the gardens. This terrace that I've blipped usually has tables and chairs on it, but unfortunately for us the tea room closed on Sunday. It would have been a lovely spot to sit and have a drink, but we made do with a visit to the local ice cream cafe and had Grand Marnier ice cream!
We've stayed in tonight - well sat on the balcony. I cooked and we opened another bottle of fizz to celebrate the fact that we're going to be grandparents again! Rach is 13 weeks and had her scan today, so I can safely announce it :-). It's very exciting and something wonderful to look forward to during the next few months which are going to be quite difficult.
Anyway, we're currently being eaten alive, so it's time to go indoors!
