Three cheers!

Today, the sixteenth of September, was the 100th anniversary of the very first Women's Institute in England and Wales. There have been celebrations all year, including the Buckingham Palace Garden Party that I attended.
My own WI meeting fell on the actual day, so this evening we had birthday cake and bubbly and gathered for a celebratory photograph. We all cheered, even the speaker, who can be seen at the back, popping his head above the sea of women.
