Dainty Painted Lady (and a Bee).
This is first one I have seen this year and it was flying as soon as it stopped raining, together with many Pale Clouded Yellows. Butterflies are brilliant at taking advantage of pockets of sunny weather. This morning the temperature was 12 degrees and this afternoon 30 degrees! The Föhen wind has been blowing like a hairdrier and both the butterflies and the blipper had a hard time finding stillness in the field.
Thanks for all the lovely comments, stars and faves on my recent mountain shots, after 3 lessons of yoga in French I need to close my eyes now, goodnight!
