Thames Skyline

We travelled to London with Stephen to visit his new flat near Canary Wharf. It was good to see him settled in preparation for the next stage in his career at the Royal Court of Justice.

We decided to break the journey staying over and enjoying a meal out in St. Katherine's Dock. Both Richard and I remembered it as run down dock land - how times change!

As we walked along the Thames by the Tower of London the far bank caught my eye. The Shard completed in 2012 alongside HMS Belfast. Fortunately the forecast rain held off. On the way back we competed for space with 3,100 runners who were competing in the first Run the River event in aid of Teach First. Unfortunately did not have my running kit to join in!
