Cleared for Take Off

Managed to get a walk round the lanes in the sunshine before it clouded over and the rain started.  This Red Admiral was taking advantage of the nice weather too and flitting from flower to flower :-)

I have had some trouble one of my memory sticks.......when I plug it into the computer it makes the noise as if the computer has accepted it and the stick lights up but doesn't get as far as registering  on the computer......then after a minute or two it makes the noise as if I've asked to eject it, when I've done nothing at all.  I can't get the computer to accept it and read the data (it's always worked fine in the past). Is it a gonner, or is there some way I can get the data off?.....does anyone have any advice they can offer?
