Life from city to village

Small Tortoiseshell Butterfly

Today I'm at home, actually off sick for probably the first time in a couple of years. I'm struggling to remember the last time I took a day sick from work. But, with the after effects from the sedative last night, I'm not allowed to drive. And I can see why; everything seems detached and separate.

So the furthest I have been is the garden. But I was delighted to see this small tortoiseshell butterfly, enjoying the last nectar from the valarium which takes over most of my garden in the summer.

Hope everyone is well. Normal workaholic behaviour on my part should resume tomorrow...
