The Linton Kitchen
We went to Linton in Cambridgeshire this morning to meet with some other Coeliacs for coffee and cake in The Linton Kitchen. I had a delicious gluten-free chocolate and pear cake covered in chocolate ganache; there was also a gluten-free lemon polenta cake, which others in the group said was delicious.
On arriving home, just after lunch, I planted the Violas that I purchased at Scotsdales Garden Centre yesterday as well as the early flowering Snowdrop bulbs. I still have some Pansies to plant as well as another two hundred Snowdrop bulbs, although these are not early flowering ones. Rain prevented me from planting anything else. As many of you know Snowdrops are my absolute favourite flower.
I remembered this morning that I had my biopsy to check for Coeliac disease, twenty-nine years ago today so it is fitting that I met with other Coeliacs. Today’s picture shows some of the cakes available including the chocolate and pear cake taken with the iPhone so not the best quality picture.
