Troubled Water

Today we were hiking the 6 - 7 hours up the mountain. However.... it turned into a 14 hour endurance test. We set off at 8:30 am and arrived at an emergency shelter at 10:30 pm Along the way we encountered a storm, with thunder and lightning. Then the hail came, and then it went dark. We were left hiking in the snow in the dark, across rivers and steep slopes. Then 45 of us spent the night squeezed in to a small shelter. 
The camp staff made sure we got some hot noodles and a hot drink, but it was 1:45 am until we could find everyone a space!
