Watchmen character lives on in bathtub

Face scrub residue in bath this morning, sandy grit on worn enamel. This tub is afraid of me. I have seen its true face.

Thirty years since Watchmen and the comics are still full of pale imitations, grim and gritty as the insides of this tub.

The accumulated filth of all their graphic novels and PDFs will pile up and all the readers and wannabes will look up and shout "Save us!"... and I'll look down and whisper "No.”

Or, I could give the bath a wipe...
