Steps..

....steps and more steps!! We started our day slowly, with quite a bit of lounging around in our holiday cottage. Despite the weather, we decided to brave St Mary's Lighthouse at Whitley Bay. I was very ill when we came up here last year, and GravyC took the boys to the lighthouse so that I could be ill in peace!! Noo remembered and wanted to take me there today. I don't have a head for heights, so it was also a bit of a challenge!! Noo, however, climbed the 137 steps up and down without any worries (as he did last year!)

As if that wasn't enough steps, we ended our day at Tynemouth Castle and Priory so that we could do several thousand more!

In between times we took Noo to the sea life centre where the highlight had to be the seal show...

We managed a few bargains today too! It was 'toddler Tuesday' at the sea life centre = half price! and we get into English Heritage sites free of charge through my work. So we spent the money we saved on sloe gin.......mother's ruin!!
