Two types of quince

I made 5lbs of quince jelly today using the green and yellow quinces mixed.    Charente grows quince in her garden in France and says the yellow ones are a Japanese variety.   Do you know the  variety of the green ones Charente?
The extra blip is of a perfectly formed spiders web down the side of the house.
