First step

Today friend Alison and I made the trip into Glasgow - Sauchiehall Street in fact - to make enquiries about flights to South Africa next year. Alison wants to visit her sister and brother-in-law in Cape Town and I'm going to renew my acquaintance with the country of my birth.

After waiting for more than half an hour to be served in Trailfinders, we walked out in disgust and straight into the Flight Centre a few doors down, where the staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly.

We are now booked to fly out with Emirates in January! Woo hoo!
