Yaaayyy for breaking rules...

I was riding into work sort of slightly behind someone who stuck to the current rules for Palmerston Place. I however did my usual not going round the block, hopping onto the pavement and slicing the route by 60%.

Had I not done this, I might not have been in prime position to ask Maria here if I could take her photo. Maria is from Russia and was sitting doing an oil painting at about 0730 in the morning of St Mary's Cathedral which just happens to be my favourite building in Edinburgh. She doesn't speak english which made it a bit interesting asking if I could take a photo, subsequently showing her the photo and then finding out where she was from.
