Day 2 of our camping holiday and we headed to Kielder Water.

First a walk across the dam and along the shore to the Wave Chamber. It's supposed to be an 'experience' once inside the small stone building but my feeling was one of fear incase I couldn't get out again. I took this photo on the return route - it's the tower that controls the flow of water from the reservoir to the river below. 

After a coffee it was on to Leaplish car park and another walk. We  sat in   the woodland hide for a while but the squirrels and most birds seemed to be hiding.
