Musical Chairs

Here we go again! Another New Prime Minister. The change is not unwelcome (quite the reverse) but instability is. One reporter quipped that you know we're due for a new PM when your smoke detector battery needs replacing. A friend declared, "They've gone for the peacock over the galah!" (which is a pretty accurate assessment, I think.) Speaking of which, it seems to me that outgoing PM Tony Abbott has had some work done on his upper lip region. The PM before that (ie. our hounded and harried first lady PM, Julia Gillard) benefited from some very good stylists. I wonder how they will transform the new guy. And how he will transform us...
