Skip's Blips

By Skip

Peace, I ask of thee, o river...

...Peace, peace, peace.
When I learn to live serenely, cares will cease.
From the hills I gather courage,
Wisdom for the days to be.
Strength to lead, and faith to follow,
All are given unto me.
Peace, I ask of thee, O River.
Peace, peace, peace.

I wonder if this song, learned long ago when I was in Girl Scouts, sowed the seeds for my love of nature, and my pleasure in time spent outdoors? I was in Chagrin River Park when I took this picture late this afternoon, and it turned my thoughts to this old song and many other childhood memories of rivers.
