CRESTED BARBET
Sitting on a wall n my garden chirping its head off to its mate who is in the next nearby. Such an odd looking bird.Their name is derived from the french for beard and refers to the stiff bristles that protrude from the base of the birds bill. The sexes look very similar (female just a little smaller). I attached a sisal log to one of my trees some months back and it is there where eggs are being incubated.
