Welcome to California

A warm welcome to California today, by this sweet old cat Max and its owner, who welcomed us to their AirBnB in San Francisco. The weather is sunny with a pleasant temperature, so SF is also lovely in summer!

In the extra photos an additional image of the streets nearby as well as a shot of a first: for the first time today I had my shoes polished by someone else at the airport! I figured in order for them to survive the desert next week, I needed drastic measures...The polisher did a fantastic job. I watched closely, so I might also have learned a thing or two!
