Enormous Dahlias

We are up in Nottingham for the weekend to visit the in-laws. This is Mr CG and Mr CG Snr setting the world to rights whilst inspecting the garden. He does grow a good Dahlia and his flower beds are a riot of colour at this time of year. I tried 3 this year but they didn't flourish like his do.
