A slice of Lesley's life

I love Sunday lunch. Today's was roast pork with homemade apple sauce made with apples given to us from a neighbour's tree. My folks were down and brought blackberries from their garden and so Anna made a blackberry and apple crumble with the rest. And yes they are Yorkshires but we are long past saving them only for roast beef.

This morning we were all due to watch J play his first football game of the season but unfortunately he wasn't up to it. So instead Carl took Albi for a long walk and me, Anna and my parents went to a nearby garden centre to buy some plants for our front garden. And as my mom fell in love with a rose she saw I shall be back tomorrow to buy a very early Christmas present.

J rallied for the Sunday lunch (the power of roast potatoes are not to be underestimated) and when friends popped in later this afternoon. As ever we go to bed with our fingers crossed he will be in school tomorrow.

Despite this morning's disappointment it has been a rather lovely Sunday.
