Looking down into space
It was one of those rare evenings (rare recently) when the water in the estuary was flat calm and reflecting. Standing on a boulder at the water's edge, looking down was quite vertiginous - close to tumbling into watery space. Meanwhile, Wife was doing her Tai Chi further up the shore, and Gus was sticking close to her, making sure she didn't escape again. Curlews were bubbling on the other side of the water, and herons were gathering for the evening's fluke fishing.
It was another day grounded for Gus and I before Wifie came home late afternoon. I spent an hour this morning lying in the gravel under the car trying to secure the exhaust enough to get me to Kendal tomorrow to have it fixed. We went for a longer lunchtime walk to Hawes Water and Gait Barrows, and I'm not sure who was more tired, Gus or me. The blip cupboard was pretty bare though, until we went with Wifie for our evening stroll along the muddy shore. I shall try and add a Tai Chi photo as an extra later.
This is blip 1400, still 60 to go to the 1460 milestone. It's been an awfully long time since the last one at 1095. Will Blipfoto still be here for the 1460?
ps There's a pre-sunset shot here.
