A trip on our 48 hour bus pass to Capitolini which gives a fabulous view of the forum remains on Palatino.  Seems to be a popular spot for weddings.  Watched a wedding party coming out with a smart old man and a very young bride!  Weegie eyebrows were raised! Maybe I'm doing her a disservice and she's marrying him for his fine head of (grey) hair?

A walk down to the Pantheon, a former pagan church adopted by the Romans and then the Christians. It is famous for being 1900 years old and has a hole in the centre of the dome to look at the stars.  Also the final resting place of Raphael (the painter...not Nadal!)

A long walk back through the flower market and some present shopping for the girls.

Thunder storms this evening and we risked the rain to use our bus pass for a final time for an evening trip to the Trevi fountain. However the skinny 'bus conductress' refused the bus ticket we have been using for two days. Said it wasn't the right ticket.  I muttered something under my breath that doesn't translate into her language and we head back into the rain.

Found a great wee restaurant next to the Hotel, excellent sorbet and Mr S grappled with some Grappa!!
