Acropolis

View of the Acropolis from our hotel roof. Had a great day in Athens; an early start helped us see so much - went up Lycabettus Hill for fantastic views, then to the Panathenaic Stadium (built for the first modern Olympics - 1896 I think, a beautiful, simple and unusual design with one end open) on to the Temple of Zeus and Hadrian's gate, the Agora, Plaka and finally Monistiraki. Early start tomorrow - a 7.30am ferry from Piraeus to Mykonos.
