Carnival 2015

On a beautiful warm, sunny, still night 'the hats' finally got their people under them and the 'gas' lamps were lit for our carnival entry. We got a third prize for our efforts (although the comment was that the hats should have a prize all their own) Once it was dark the lamps looked really rather good and did look as if they were lit by gas mantles...very Edwardian. It took until after midnight to count all the money from the street collection but I left for bed without waiting for the final figure. Popped in a photo of one of the floats. So that's carnival done now to catch up on my back blips!.
