The Cheviot, the Stag, and the Black Black Oil

I had long joked to Lesley that I'd take her for a romantic weekend in Dundee. I said I'd show her 'the hotbed of experimental social housing'.

In the end, we just went for the day, heading up on the train around lunch, took in the tourist site, had dinner, and then headed to Dundee Rep to watch the revival of The Cheviot, the Stag, and the Black Black Oil. It was unlike any other theatre production I've ever seen. Agitprop Ceilidh Theatre. Audience on the stage - actors in the audience. Music. Dance. History. Comedy. I loved it.
