Uncertain Emotions

Not the Arctic #4: Back to the bar

There's really not a lot to do here, so it was time for another wander up to the bar at the end of the beach. Incredibly hot today so I was grateful for the cooling water from the surf to keep my feet cool and refreshed.

This was all after I'd spent 90mins in the Thalassotherapy spa. The sea water and sand around the island are reputed to have healing properties, so I paid to:
- be pummelled by it
- walk against an artificial current in
- steam in it
- shower in it
- best of all, float in a pool containing sea water warmed to body temp.

I'm not that confident in water so was amazed by how relaxed I was, just floating weighlessly. Has to be the most relaxing thing I've done.

It was a bit odd though, as I was on my own in the whole place and I could see glimpses in the rooms off the main area of strange looking equipment for water treatments that reminded me of things I've seen in films set in old asylums!
