A new branch of the Leeds charcuterie has opened in Ilkley and as that happens to be where two of my favourite blippers live, it was the perfect venue for a blipmeet.

Very simple and rustic in it's decor but oozing authenticity , if you don't mind the dead pig's trotter greeting you on the counter when you walk in .

We were sat in the naughty corner in the basement as it was so busy but we still got all of the atmosphere ( and all of the wine by the looks of it ) .

Fine meats , fine cheeses that melted on the tongue , smoked almonds , beef jerky, rosemary crisps ( just for the ponce factor ) all made for a fine meal and we deliberately refused to order and salad .

As usual all sorts was discussed , very little about blip more about social networking ( why is it so addictive ), crushes ( that will never be acted upon ) , Jeremy Corbyn ( who is going to save the world ) and probably loads of other bollocks .

Lovely to see Dr Mackem who is recovering from illness and John who is happy and polite as ever .

If you want some luxury food in a warm , trendy , different environment set up for middle aged , middle class people then this is your place .

Not for vegetarians .
