Painted Lady (vanessa cardui)

Back to the river.

After a rather late night I think the camera was channeling my hangover, and very few of my pictures were in focus... luckily this one came out okay as it was one of the last I took. 

According to Wiki the Painted Lady is found on all continents apart from Antarctica and South America. Alongside the Comma (asian version), bee hawkmoths and various small blue butterflies it could have almost been a walk back home in England.
