The path not taken

Flying back from a bustling Geneva airport blips were few and far between. A lot of the airport seems to be having building and renovation work going on, and there were people everywhere, but my eye was drawn to this empty moving walkway - I read my book and watched for a while, but no-one took it at all.

It may have been the aeronautical equivalent of platform 9 & 3/4, or passengers may not have felt yet ready to walk towards the light - but it offered a modernistic moment of tranquility in a hectic day.
