Swans, swans and more swans.

Decided to take the camper van to Devon, staying overnight in Dorset.  We thought we would book into our favourite campsite in Dorset on the way down only to find that it was fully booked.  I think the baby boomers must wait until the children are back to school before taking to the roads in their thousands.  We therefore had to find somewhere at the last minute and ended up at a farmer's field in Dorset without toilets or showers.  I didn't think such places existed!  We were lucky as we camped in a field on our own away from the other campers who were parked cheek by jowl.  Not sure I like this aspect of camping.
We used the opportunity to visit The Swannery at Abbotsbury.  I say "we" very loosely as Ken point blank refused to put his foot through the door as he said he had been there too many times with school parties.  I therefore left him in the car park,, sitting in the sun having a cup of tea.  I really enjoyed the tranquility and there were certainly a lot of swans to see..
