Abbey View.

We left yesterday morning at 3 0'clock to drive up to Whitby. We arrived at midday, and got to the apartment and unpacked our suitcases. We  then went to Sainsburys to get a few things  for the next few days. Took that back, and as the sun was shining. decided to walk up to Whitby. We hadn't gone far, when the heavens opened, and we , and lot's of others. had to shelter. We had thunder, lightning, and the rain was torrential. We waited for the worse to pass, and decided to go for it, and walked back to our apartment. As soon as we got in, the sun came out. This is the view from our living room window. The view is spectacular, and the bonus is, we can see the steam train going past at certain  times of the day. I am late posting because we had a problem  with internet last night. Normal service is , I hope back to normal. Sorry if my commenting will be a bit hit and miss this week, but keep watching, because the journey should be interesting.
