'Roses' and the changing seasons

A bit of a dreich day we had to have the 'big' light on for most of the day. We did have an interesting sky later in the day though and the skies cleared enough to spot the RAF Typhoon fly over to open the Highland Military Tattoo.
The roses are turning into hips , nice red shiny ones which will provide food for the foods in the coming months.It was so dark I had to use the flash !
I'm afraid to say there is definitely the feel of a change in the seasons.
