A member at work reliably tells me that this is a red admiral butterfly.

Made a long overdue phone call to a friend that I had been putting off for fear of saying the wrong thing. She and her husband have experienced the most unimaginable pain and need a lot of support. I now realise that you just have to say "we love you" and "we're there for you"
